Established in 2018, The Adell C. White Workforce Center provides job training and placement services for residents of the DMV. From soft-skill training to job readiness in niche industries, we offer a variety of services to help our customers find the perfect opportunity.

Training

IT and Insurance Community Training Programs

In 2022, the Adell C. White Workforce Center launched the CFEP, a stipend Job Training and Placement program created for the District’s most underserved population.

District Residents aged 18-54 can enroll in the program and receive training and certification to become either a certified IT Assembler or a Licensed Insurance Agent. Once participants complete the program, our team will help you find a new job that requires your new skills.

Trainees receive $12.50 an hour for 2-4 months while participating in the program.

Job Readiness Soft Skills

OWLStars and OWL4 Instruction

OWLStars are our customers who have completed our Job Readiness Curriculum, the OWL4. This curriculum helps customers become Occupied with Listening, Learning, Leaping, and Leading, all skills that will be essential for their job placement journey.

ACW's mission is to assist you in removing barriers which create obstacles to obtaining or mainitaining employment. Our team is here to help you secure a sustainable career you are passionate about and will contribute to your family’s well-being.
